Just a reminder.
May 5th is Free Comic Book Day. Please support your local comic book store. Seriously, it's like Black Friday for them. They get your business, you get free comics. It's a win-win. Not sure where your local comic book store is? Look it up here. Bonus points if you head in there dressed as a comic book character.
Also, I haven't had a journal question in months so here's a new one: What is your favorite comic genre?

Pre-Occupied Without You.
I haven't been as active here as I'd like to be. I've been living in the "Real World". I work 42 hours a week at a job I can't stand. It leaves me so tired, I don't have the energy to make art. Which is really bad, considering my dream is to be a comic book creator/artist. I have a poll up right now relating to this, and I'd really appreciate all your feedback. It's hard to stay encouraged when my job takes away my ability to do the one thing I truly love.
I don't mean this to sound as whining. I'm extremely thankful I have a job, as I live in an area where jobs are extremely scarce. I'm just depressed because I miss having the time to do a
Harry Potter Art Week!
After some calculations I realized it would cost me over $900 to go to Leaky Con this year. As much as I'd love to go, I simply can't afford it. So, I think I'll just draw Harry Potter related stuff that week (July 13-17th, 2011) and pretend I'm there.
To make this more interesting, I'm inviting all of you to draw HP related art too! It doesn't have to be just actual HP characters. You can draw yourself as a Hogwarts student or your characters as students. Let's see how much art we can get out there! The more diverse the better. Art styles don't matter here, create however you'd like. I'll be sure to post reminders before the week starts too
